Introduction
Mary K-L phones me up to say Conovers are running their fabled Labrador trip…she’s going as well as her friend, Maria. Spaces are limited so don’t delay. I trust Mary’s judgment – she’s a guide in her own right and her opinion counts as my last ‘guided’ experience was less that satisfactory and I’m hesitant to go this route again. With no winter camping experience to speak of, I recognize the value of learning from the pros: Garrett and Alexandra Conover. They have made a name for themselves as professional, knowledgeable, caring, intelligent guides. Who better to go with? I make a quick decision and send off my US (ouch!) dollars.
